We’ve created this handy interactive map to help you identify the dog off-leash, on-leash and prohibited areas when you’re out and about across the Sunshine Coast local government region.

Help tips for exercising your dog:

Dogs must be on leash at all times and being held by someone physically capable, unless otherwise signed.
When exercising in off leash areas, dogs must be responsive to voice commands and owners must supervise their dog.
Dogs are prohibited within coastal dunes, sports playing fields and within 5 meters of playgrounds or picnic/barbecue areas.
Some beaches and reserves are permanently prohibited to dogs - check the mapping for further information.
Dog waste must be removed and disposed of.
Ensure your dog is wearing their Council registration tag and your microchip details are up to date.
